We are so lucky to have Michelle and Enterprise as leaders and partners in our New Orleans recovery from Katrina. They stepped in to the breach and made such a difference in New Orleans and on the Gulf Coast. Many organizations came and left - Enterprise came and stayed.

I cried many tears watching the devastation in New Jersey and New York from Sandy. We know exactly how all of the folks affected feel and the feelings are still pretty fresh 7 years later.

But, I know Enterprise will be there with wisdom gained from our experiences here. And, we are available as well, still working on our own recovery, but more than happy to assist with Sandy recovery in any way we can.

Although it is very hard to be patient when your life is turned upside down, I hope that the victims of Sandy can be patient -- recovery is a long road and should be carefully planned. If we have learned anything down here from Katrina, it is doesn't take long for the destruction to occur, but recovery takes time.
